Subhashini R. Kanhai, M.Sc.
At an early age, Subhashini discovered her lifelong passion of working with individuals with exceptionalities. To date, Subhashini has been professionally working in the field of Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) for 8 years. She has worked in various roles in the private sector and with provincial health care providers. Her experience includes working with a wide range of learners, from ages 2 to young adults. She has developed and facilitated programs for Intensive Behaviour Intervention (IBI) programs, conducted training workshops, and she has provided consultation and intensive parent coaching services.
Subhashini graduated from Ryerson University with an Undergraduate Degree in Early Childhood Education, she then attended Humber College and graduated with honours in Advanced Studies in Special Needs. In 2011, Subhashini decided to further her academic career, and in 2013, she graduated with a Master of Science in Psychology Degree with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis from Kaplan University
Subhashini has experience running assessments such as ‘The Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program’ (VB-MAPP) and ‘The Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills – Revised’ (ABLLS-R) which are some of the key foundations of her practice. Subhashini is currently training under Tanya Nesterenko, a registered Speech-Language Pathologist, as Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant.
